Their first audio project together, formed in 2000, went under the name Eye and Ear Control, and was described by Carlos M. Pozo of Angbase as "playfully disturbed music that plays like a fractured outsider take on pop, IDM and techno." They played their first gig in 2000 with Spanish glitchpop band OPOPOP, which was recorded and released by Consume. They played their last gig in 2004 at the Centre for Contemporary Arts in Glasgow. Overall Eye and Ear Control released 4 albums on CONSUME. After the death of Eye and Ear Control, Neck and Render formed the Retrosexuals The band have had tracks played on RADIO 1, Beat 106, Artrocker radio, Flora radio in Germany and have done a session for Radio Magenetic. In November 2007 they were commissioned to write songs and perform them live at the MAIS arts festival in Brussels along with 3 other bands/musicians. They have also just completed their first European tour which happened in August covering 4 dates in Germany, 3 in Holland and 1 in France.
